Tampa, FL - Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio, whose real name is Charles Jones, was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn hotel in Tampa early Sunday morning, his attorney Lewis Fusco confirmed with News4JAX.

Foolio was known for his controversial lyrics and his feud with fellow Jacksonville rapper Pooh Shiesty. He was also a member of the music group Who I Smoke.

The shooting happened at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the Tampa Police Department. Foolio was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The Tampa Police Department is investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made.
